The scientific part of this website is all about game studies and media studies concerning computer games and virtual worlds. To constrain the breadth of this huge field of research, the focus lies on the development of skills through gaming, learning effects of gaming and social aspects of gaming. An additional focus lies on the field of gamification: the use of game elements in non-game contexts.

Most of the presented information are directly connected to my own results in these particular fields of research. Considering this, it is difficult to keep all the presented information as up-to-date as possible.
